✓ Exfoliate 1-2 days before your sugaring appointment (And not within 24 hours). This helps to remove dead skin cells and ensures that the sugar will adhere to the hairs properly.
✓ Avoid topical products such as lotions, oils or creams the day of your sugar hair removal appointment.
✓ Refrain from shaving for at least 2 weeks before your appointment, and waxing or sugaring for 4-6 weeks to ensure the hairs are long enough for the sugar paste to grab them.
✓ Avoid caffeine and alcohol as both can increase skin sensitivity and make the hair removal process more uncomfortable.
✓ Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your sugaring appointment. Hydrated skin tends to be more supple and less sensitive, which can help reduce discomfort during hair removal.
