Carbon Corrective Peel (Hollywood Facial)

A deep-cleansing laser treatment that targets acne, oil, clogged pores, and uneven skin tone.

What are carbon corrective peels (hollywood facials)?

If you’re dealing with acne, oily skin, clogged pores, or uneven skin tone, carbon peels (also known as Hollywood facials) are a deep-cleansing laser treatment designed to remove buildup, reduce oil, and improve skin tone and texture.

With NO downtime and safe for all skin types, they’re a great option before a big event, to prep the skin ahead of other laser or resurfacing treatments, or simply as a maintenance treatment to keep the skin clear and balanced.

At Nüd Sugaring + Laser Studio in Leduc, we use advanced laser technology paired with a medical-grade carbon mask to deeply cleanse the skin and target excess oil, debris, and acne-causing bacteria.

During the treatment, a thin layer of carbon is applied to the skin, where it binds to oil and impurities within the pores. A Q-switched Nd:YAG laser is then used to remove the carbon along with the debris it has attached to.

This provides a deep exfoliation while helping to reduce breakouts, refine pores, and support smoother, more even-looking skin.

What concerns can carbon corrective peels help with?

Carbon peels are ideal for clients dealing with congestion, excess oil, and buildup in the skin. Because the treatment deeply cleanses the pores while lightly exfoliating the skin, it can target multiple concerns at once.

Targets acne, congestion, uneven skin tone, and buildup to improve skin tone and texture.

This carbon corrective peel (hollywood facial) uses a Q-switched laser and medical-grade carbon to deeply cleanse the skin, reduce oil, and target acne-causing bacteria. Treatment includes the full face from the forehead to the jawline.

Ideal as a standalone treatment or when combined with other laser treatments to enhance overall results.

  • $175 per session

Targets underarm darkening, uneven skin tone, and buildup to support more even-looking skin.

This carbon corrective peel uses a Q-switched laser and medical-grade carbon to deeply cleanse the skin, reduce buildup, and gently exfoliate the area. It helps improve the appearance of discoloration often associated with shaving, friction, or congestion.

Ideal as a standalone treatment, as part of your underarm care routine, or combined with hair removal treatments for more consistent, long-term results.

Your carbon corrective peel (hollywood facial) treatment begins with a double cleanse to prepare the skin. A thin layer of medical-grade carbon is then applied and left on the skin for several minutes, allowing it to bind to oil, debris, and impurities within the pores. A Q-switched laser is then passed over the skin to remove the carbon along with the buildup it has attached to, providing a deep cleanse and light exfoliation.

Most clients describe the treatment as a warm, light snapping sensation that is very tolerable.

Your treatment is then finished with calming and protective products customized to your skin’s needs.

What to Expect

How do carbon corrective peels work with other treatments?

Carbon corrective peels (hollywood facials) are often used as a prep step before other laser treatments to improve how the skin responds and to support more consistent results.

By removing buildup, reducing excess oil, and clearing congestion within the pores, carbon peels allow treatments like IPL skin rejuvenation and fractional laser resurfacing to work more evenly across the skin.

For clients dealing with acne, oiliness, or clogged pores, starting with a carbon peel can help reduce barriers within the skin that may otherwise impact treatment outcomes.

Carbon peels can also be used between treatments to help maintain results, manage oil and congestion, and keep the skin on track throughout your treatment plan.
