Laser Hair Removal Pre-Care
✓ Do not exfoliate (physical or chemical) 1 week prior to your laser hair removal treatment.
✓ Avoid sun exposure for 4-8 weeks (Depending on skin type), and self-tanners for at least 4 weeks prior to your laser hair removal appointment.
✓ Avoid microdermabrasion’s/chemical peels for at least 2 weeks prior to your treatment.
✓ Avoid depilating for 6 weeks prior to your laser treatment (waxing, sugaring, plucking, threading or hair removal creams).
✓ Shave the area to be treated the day before or day of your treatment.
✓ Discontinue using bleaching creams for 2 weeks prior to treatment and perfumed products (eg. Aromatherapy oils/Essential oils) for 48 hours before treatment.
✓ Do not use sun blocking creams within 12 hours of scheduled treatments.
✓ Avoid swimming in strong chlorinated water immediately before an IPL session.
✓ Discontinue use of Retinoic Acid products 2 weeks prior to laser hair removal treatment.
✓ Discontinue Accutane 6 months prior to treatment.
