Consultation + Assessment
We’ll start with a consultation where we assess your tattoo’s size, color, and location, then create a personalized treatment plan. We’ll also perform a test patch to ensure your skin responds well to the laser. After 48 hours, if there are no adverse reactions, we’ll schedule your full treatment.
Treatment Sessions
Each session uses Sharplight’s Q-Switch laser to break down the ink without damaging your skin. Sessions last 15-30 minutes, depending on the tattoo, with discomfort similar to a rubber band snap. Numbing is available for purchase and is recommended to be applied 1 hour before your treatment.
Recovery + Results
After each session, your skin begins to heal as the ink fades gradually over the following weeks. We provide detailed post-care instructions to ensure the best possible results. Multiple sessions are typically needed to guarantee the tattoo is removed safely and effectively over time.

Laser Tattoo Removal Pre-Care
✓ Avoid sun exposure. Keep the area out of direct sunlight or tanning beds for 4-8 weeks prior to your treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin can be more sensitive to the laser.
✓ Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water leading up to your appointment. Hydrated skin responds better to treatment and heals faster.
✓ Discontinue certain medications. If you're using Accutane, stop at least 6 months before treatment. Also, avoid Retinoic Acid products for 2 weeks and any exfoliating or skin-irritating products like glycolic acid or benzoyl peroxide 1 week before.
✓ Avoid blood thinners. Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol 48 hours before your appointment, as they can increase the chance of bruising.
✓ Shave the area. If needed, shave the tattooed area beforehand to allow the laser to target the ink more effectively.
✓ Skip Peels and Microdermabrasion. Avoid any chemical peels or microdermabrasion for 2 weeks before your session, and let us know if you've had any recent treatments.
✓ Wear comfortable clothing. The treated area may be tender after the session, so wear loose, comfy clothes to your appointment.
